Emily Renshaw’s practice focuses on securities litigation defense, regulatory matters, and complex commercial litigation. She represents public companies and their executives and directors, investment firms and their management, and private companies in shareholder class actions, derivative actions, governmental, regulatory, and internal investigations, and civil litigation. Emily represents clients before federal and state trial and appellate courts, and in enforcement and examination proceedings brought by the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Department of Justice, and state securities agencies.
Active in pro bono work, Emily represents individuals and nonprofit organizations in litigation matters involving contract disputes, constitutional issues, and issues of international and family law.
While in law school, Emily served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Nancy Gertner of the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
